Acorn is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor for their client based near Berkeley. The salary for this position is £27,000 to £33,000, and includes use of the company car.As a Legionella Risk Assessor you will be carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8, providing recommendations to clients, and producing reports and documents. You will be conducting assessments at a broad range of client sites around yourregion and further afield, dependent on business needs.Key responsibilities:* Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 on a wide range of properties including industrial and commercial* Compiling schematic drawings and producing final documents for clients* Providing recommendations for remedial works and routine control measures based on the risk assessments* Monthly temperature testing, monitoring and water sampling* Surveying of water systems and supplies* Attending meetings with clients as and when required* Maintain a professional working relationship with clients* Produce accurate reports and drawings within the time frame given* Following company procedure regarding health, safety and complianceEssential skills and qualifications:* Extensive experience in Legionella risk assessing* Legionella risk assessment qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalent* Practical Legionella risk assessment - Hot and Cold-Water Systems* Wide knowledge of the approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274* Full UK driving license* Experience of using technical drawing software i.e AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio or equivalent* Experienced in using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams etc.)* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal* Attention to detail* Experienced in working independently when needed* Delivering to deadlines* FlexibilityFor more information on this job role, please get in touch with Coral Jenkins at Acorn.Acorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
