Job Description

LASER OPERATOR - FLAT BED LASEREVENING SHIFTOur client, one of the fastest growing companies of its type in the South West, is looking to recruit aLaser Machine Operatorto join the team at their facility in Avonmouth, Bristol.Previous Laser cutting experience would be advantageous however training would be given.Key Roles & Responsibilities:Reporting to Production Manager, your duties include:

  • Operation of AEM’s Bystronic flatbed laser
  • To set and maintain a high level of workmanship
  • To work proactively and part of a team to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Packing and labelling cut parts ready for dispatch
  • Clear and accurate completion of internal paperwork, job sheets etc.
  • Use of forklift & pallet truck in a safe and courteous manner, training provided if necessary
  • Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of the machinery and immediate area
  • Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the scheduling department
  • To store and organise raw material in relevant storage locations
  • To check machine operation and carry out daily and weekly maintenance tasks.
  • Follow Company procedures and processes (Including ISO 9001:2008)

  • Hours of work: 2pm - 10pm Monday - Friday
  • Salary: £23,000.00-£28,000 per year DOEplus overtime
