Job DescriptionHere at Long-Term Teachers, we are working closely with an amazing 2 form entry Primary School in the BS4 area of Bristol.This warming school is seeking a L2 or L3 qualified Teaching Assistant who has a great understanding or experience of working with SEND children - Specifically ASD.This diverse and inclusive school has a wonderful resource based classroom, which is growing and needs supportive and nurturing staff to join their team.The RoleAs a successful candidate, you will join the team as soon as possible. You will be working closely with a team of caring and gentle staff, who work tirelessly to support children with ASD to build their confidence in communication, social aspects, educationand personal development.The Head Teacher is looking for a friendly, positive person with a great attitude towards these children, providing an enthusiastic but challenging classroom environment.You will be expected to:

  • Have experience working with SEN / ASD children.
  • Enjoy challenging children to be the best they can be.
  • Have great communication skills between all staff members.
  • Inspire and motivate the children.
  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the needs of each child.
  • Work closely with the School SENDCO to support each childs needs.
