Job Description

Developer - Mid level - Java - previous role as a junior software engineer or junior developer is a must - Our client based in Bristol at the junction of the M5/M4 at Aztec West are a busy Global FinTech software provider to the worlds top banks. Salaryto £50,000 plus excellent benefits and sponsorship if required .

  • They are happy to offer Sponsorship to you as an individual if needed and will move quickly on that if you are already based here in the UK .
  • Obviously everyone working remotely at the moment and that looks like continuing for a fair while yet but further on if you can work three days a week in the office the rest can be remote .

Independent autonomous teams build, maintain and support services whichallows them to develop expertise in technology and business domains.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence others and to personally develop in a friendly and welcoming environment. We welcome engineering professionals from a variety of backgrounds to add to our diverse teams in our Bristol developmentcentre.The Bristol location is a hub of development activity set in a large business park with lakes and green, open spaces; ideally located next to two major motorways making commuting as easy an option as living within the city itself.Java and Spring are their primary backend technologies with Angular and Typescript in their frontend.Job Responsibilities Involved in the complete product lifecycle from initial requirements definition, design, development and solution configuration through to deployment Agile approach using Behaviour Driven Development and Continuous Deployment technologies Willingness to adopt Agile XP practices such as Pair-programming and Test Driven Development Support on-going maintenance and fixes of solutions and in-house toolkits Follow development process and quality standards Responsibility for developing scalable and robust solutions, which meet the high performance and availability standards of global financial institutionsKey Skills A passion for software development Strong technology skills and interest Communication and team work Independence and motivated Experience with Java, Spring, Angular and/or TypescriptDesirable Skills BDD, TDD, Continuous Deployment RESTful web servicesExperience Experience developing in a software vendor environment is desirable but not required Financial software experience would be a bonus, but is not expected A previous role as a junior software engineer or junior developer is a must
