SDL Solutions Limited is currently recruiting for an IT Support Engineer to work in a permanent/full time position based in Bristol.The team is responsible for supporting and developing the companies systems. The systems used are Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 based with a mixture of Windows 10 workstations running Microsoft Office 2016/Office 365 applications.As an IT Support Engineer you will work alongside the software development and network teams with new methodologies, deployments, and a strong grasp on automation skills. You will manage your personal and team workload and set prioritiesfor support issues. Youll need the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and deal with escalations from the IT Helpdesk Team, escalating IT issues where necessary to IT Operations Team. You will participate in team meetings with all team membersto discuss latest projects, issues, and team performance. Youll be managing cloud platforms such as Azure/Intune and virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V, and VMWare. You will be responsible for Day-to-Day Windows server management tasks. Youll alsobe responsible for the setting up of laptop hardware using a range of deployment tools and user troubleshooting. You will need to ensure that agreed procedures are documented and followed within the team and to document fixes and troubleshooting techniquesand then distribute this information to the network support team to improve efficienciesAs an IT Support Engineer youll ideally be MCSA or MCSE qualified with proven experience of working in a server-based environment. Youll have a clear understanding of in-house IT processes and their importance in a business environment.Ideally, youll have experience/knowledge in PowerShell scripting and Windows desktop operating systems including version 10. Youll need to have experience working with Microsoft Office suite and a clear understanding in Active Directory. Youll be responsiblefor supporting and maintaining a Microsoft Office 365 based infrastructure and will also be required to analyse hardware and software malfunctions to diagnose the root cause of the issue.
