In-Vitro Cell Biologist / Biochemist c27-28k pro rata3-4 month temp contractStart ASAPAs an experienced graduate in cell biology/ molecular cell biologist or biochemistry with commercial lab experience in in-vitro cell biology you will join a global R&D team to perform laboratory development, validation and testing procedures as well as helping manage the teams workload using various in vitro model systems.As an in-vitro celli biologist / biochemist you will have an understanding of one or more areas of the following: cell biology, cell co-culture systems, cell-based assays, ex vivo, in-vitro tissue processing.and support and manage in-house studies, liaising with managers, members of other teams internally.ResponsibilitiesCell biology skills - mainly focusing on PCR - testing Covid 19 for UK GP practices.Familiarity with: PCR technologies, DNA extraction, cell screening and in-vitro methodology.Skilled in molecular biology and associated techniquesExperience managing scientific studies / projects would be beneficialExperience working in a regulated ISO environment would be advantageousManage projects in accordance with appropriate project management tools.Write project or study reports, publications and presentations for external forums.QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEQualified to at Degree /MSc /PhD in Biology, Cell biology, Molecular Cell biology, Biochemistry or related field.Industry-relevant experience in PCR, DNA extraction, cell screening, and in-vitro techniques.Proven track record in report writing.Project management skillsTime management and ability to work under pressureFull Time. Temp Contract - 3-4 months.£20.67/ hr ltd company rate.
