Job Description

Interim Senior Internal Auditor required immediatelyWhere: RemoteReference:7018860Duration: 10 weeks +Daily rate: 250 – 300 via Limited or Umbrella CompanyHours: Full-time hours with almost absolute flexibilityVenn Group is currently recruiting for an Interim Senior Internal Auditor for an outstanding organisation that requires further support auditing its public sector clients building up to year end.Duties will include

  • Completing internal audit work to a high professional standard and in accordance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing of the Institute of Internal Auditors for public sector bodies
  • Using your experience in a range of different audit reviews to apply modern internal audit techniques to deliver quality audit reports to a deadline
  • Managing the full audit process from start to finish for a number of public sector bodies
  • Using influencing skills with to persuade managers, staff and partner agencies on the correct processes and procedures
  • Liaise extensively with a wide range of senior stakeholders and use good communication skills to convince managers of the need to improve their control frameworks
  • Regularly use IT skills, particularly MS Office and IDEA (Information Data Extraction and Analysis) or similar packages to complete the audit process
  • Provide peer review to audit colleagues
  • Lead and supervise other auditors if required
    • Essential Requirements:
  • Substantial public sector auditing experience
  • Part-qualified Internal Auditor (PIIA) preferred; Part qualified CCAB or qualified
    • AAT also considered
  • A track record of proven experience in a range of different audit reviews
  • Demonstrable experience of applying modern internal audit techniques
  • Experience of working effectively both alone and as part of a team
