Job Description

CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTWe are currently partnering with a thriving company in C.Bristol, seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant for a temporary contractspanning 3-6 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organisation, and we are actively seeking qualified and experienced candidatesto join this exciting project.Location: Central BristolRate: £200-£250pd via UmbrellaDuration: 3-6 months (potential for perm)Start date: ASAP (ideally early Jan 24)Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Assistant to produce timely monthly management accounts and MI reporting (Consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet & Cashflow).
  • Prepare files for monthly finance review meetings with senior management.
  • Ensure accurate reporting data and documentation within required deadlines.
  • Conduct monthly overheads and margins analysis.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule and depreciation records.
  • Ensure proper Revenue Recognition.
  • Handle accruals, prepayments
  • Provide monthly payroll analysis and prepare staff costs schedules.
  • Timely completion of ONS (Office for National Statistics) returns.
  • Produce ad hoc financial information and analysis as required.
  • Assist in the annual company audit and lead documentation preparation.
Essential Skills:
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant finance department experience.
  • Fully qualified or in the latter stages of studying for an accounting qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various accounting packages.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to challenge and critically analyse financial information.

  • Proactive approach, using initiative to resolve issues.
  • Clear and effective communicator to both Finance and non-Finance colleagues.
  • Enjoys problem-solving
  • Excellent attention to detail, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Positive team member, flexible in terms of working pattern and tasks.
