Job Description

Interim Head of HR & CultureWe are looking for a pragmatic, hands-on and operational Interim Head of HR & Culture with strong project management and multi-tasking skills to support the leadership team of this long established Charity based in the centre of Bristol.Reporting to the CEO and working with the Leadership team you will be responsible for maintaining the day to day running of the generalist HR team whilst also taking an active role in various on-going projects and implementations to conclusion.This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you’ll be in the office 3 days per week.Key Responsibilities and Projects

  • Providing professional and specialist HR advice and guidance to the Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership, Management Team, Company staff and Volunteers.
  • Leading on the implementation, management and maintenance of a new HR Information System (HRIS), and recruitment applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Working with ED &I consultants and Leadership Team on delivering Company ED & I strategy, promoting and develop best practises in ED & I and contribute to the development of ED & I work across the wider business.
  • Leading on the continued development of organisational culture and employee experience to reflect our values and mission.
  • Ensuring that HR policies and practices are implemented and comply with employment law, HR best practices, and support the employee experience.
  • Managing and developing the recruitment, selection and onboarding process to ensure compliance with policy and best practice, an effective employee onboarding experience and alignment with the Charity’s commitment to equality and fairness.
  • Supporting the wider functions within central support service, including Finance and Facilities.
Person Specification
  • Experience heading up an HR function within a regulated, complex and changing environment.
  • Superb line management experience with the gravitas and credibility to inspire and motivate.
  • An excellent project manager with operational experience of implementing an HR and recruitment system, databases, gathering data and producing reports.
  • Managing in organisational change whilst developing culture and strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to be credible and influence both internally and externally with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law, data protection law, ED&I best practice and HR best practice.
This is an important and highly valued role within the Charity. We are looking for someone who can evidence the relevant experienced listed above and can start in the New Year.
