Integration and Acceotance Test Engineer

Our client is one of the largest providers of education management software in the UK, they influence the lives of over one million people every day through a range of web and mobile products.Due to continued growth, our client is now looking to recruit an Integration and Acceptance Test Engineer in the Bristol area to take full accountability for the reliability, robustness and performance of their products. This is a hybrid position where youllbe working in an agile development team focused on the continuous delivery of high-quality software solutions. All your work will directly contribute to delivering value to customers and you will be able to see the end result of your efforts in our products.Duties and Responsibilities* Develop test strategies, test plans, and test schedules for new projects and software releases* Provide technical guidance to the project team and support the implementation at customer sites.* Follow best practice processes in the areas of functional, system and regression testing using a combination of manual and automated testing* Report on the development, execution and results of test plans* Participate in project planning and estimatesKey Attributes* The ability to develop an expert understanding of the customer and market needs and champion these in the delivery of your products* Have experience of opportunity, problem and solution discovery* An eye for good user experience design with demonstrable examples of contribution to products in the market* Excellent communication and analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems* Shows creativity and initiative to improve product coverage and effectiveness.* Familiarity with automation frameworks.* Demonstrated ability to operate within short release cycles* Seeks to ensure that the correct product is built for users* Ability to understand and interpret external statutory and regulatory requirements* Depth of cross-domain understanding and empathy for the end user* Awareness of risks and their mitigationTechnical Requirements* API testing tools like SoapUI, Postman including the ability to write tests to validate the APIs* Database Management and query skills* Ability to adapt and work with automation tools currently in place within the organisation* Understanding of Page Object Model approach, object orientation/data modelling* BDD/Gherkin with Spec Flow* Developing and maintaining test automation framework using Coded UI and/or Selenium.* Cross-platform mobile app testing and mobile testing framework and tools (e.g. Xamarin UI test, Appium)* Experience using Azure DevOps* Knowledge of testing applications hosted on cloud platforms e.g. Windows Azure, Amazon Web Services.* Agile development methodologies: Kanban, Scrum, XP, LeanThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a great team with a great training structure and full support at one of the most successful companies in their industry.
