Infrastructure Engineer (Windows) - £616 per day INSIDE IR356 Month Contracts (Extensions likely) - BristolSC clearance requiredAerospace sectorYolk Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Windows focused InfrastructureEngineer to join the IT operations team of a global Bristol based Defence organisation. If successful you will take a senior role within the team providing 3rd line level supportwork to the companies Windows based infrastructureestate. The role will be predominantlyon site.The role is an initial 6 month contract with extension highly likely.Responsibilities:Windows machine management (mainly Wintel-XP, VISTA, Win7m Win10, with some Linux work needed (Redhat 5 to 8, Ubuntu, Suse), to ensure with machine security compliance.Liaise with IT service suppliers to achieve security compliance.Assistance with governance policy for connecting devices to MBDA network across Bristol / Stevenage / Bolton sites.Network and equipment monitoring, investigation and deploymentObsolescence management / legacy support Wintel and LinuxAssistance in enforcing network security policies.Deploy managed basic infrastructureDHCP server, proxy DNS etcAntivirus and backup strategy and deploymentIdentification and implementation (either directly or indirectly) of network management process improvements working in partner with infrastructure team
