Job Description

A small team with plenty of variety, giving you the opportunity for quick progression. You’ll be working with a CTO who joined at a similar level, so he’s great evidence of what progression looks like here. The IT Support team is a key part of this AIM listed financial broker and advisory firm, where you’ll be embedded into the office culture (when back in the office). It’s well balanced between maintaining a corporate approach, but with the collaboration and positive working relationships of a smaller company. You’ll be a key member of the support team. You’ll be the first point of contact for any IT issues within the business. As with most 1st line support roles, you’ll either solve the problem, or escalate the problem to the right person/team to solve the issue. Good knowledge of Windows 10, AD and O365 is ideal for this role and you’ll also get lots of exposure to Azure. You’ll be able to progress to a 2nd or 3rd line role in the future.Financial experience isn’t essential, but it’ll certainly help you get to grips with the terminology and the systems you’ll be dealing with. You’ll most likely enjoy working in a smaller business, rather than at a huge bank, mainly due to having more ownership, autonomy and less red tape.
