Job Description

Job Title: In-House SolicitorLocation: Bristol, UK (Remote)About The Accquis Group:The Accquis Group is a dynamic entity managing the assets of a prestigious Family Office. With a lean team of 35 professionals primarily focusedon sales and marketing, we pride ourselves on a culture of excellence, innovation, and strategic growth. Our operations further extend into Underwriting, Claims, and a specialised M&A team, ensuring a holistic approach to asset management and business development.Role Overview:We are seeking a seasoned In-House Solicitor with approximately 5 years of experience in litigation and corporate law. This role demands a professional who is not only adept at navigating the complexities of the legal landscape but also possesses the versatilityto draft intricate policy proposals, terms of business agreements, and engage in smaller M&A transactions. As a key legal advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our legal strategy, ensuring the protection of our assets and facilitating our growthambitions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice across all aspects of the business, with a focus on Insurance and Banking investments.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including contracts, policy proposals, terms of business agreements, and transactional documents for M&A activities.
  • Handle litigation and corporate law matters efficiently, ensuring compliance with current regulations and mitigating legal risks.
  • Manage and oversee external legal resources, including the paneling of claims to other firms and coordination with solicitors on larger M&A projects, while ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality outcomes.
  • Work closely with the Underwriting, Claims, and M&A teams, providing legal support and guidance to facilitate their operations and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified solicitor with approximately 5 years of relevant experience in litigation and corporate law, preferably within the Insurance and/or Banking sectors.
  • Strong expertise in drafting legal documents, negotiation, and transactional law.
  • Experience in policy writing and terms of business agreements is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage smaller M&A transactions and work autonomously on complex legal matters.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach to legal practice.
  • Versatile, competent, and capable of thriving in a small but dynamic organization.
