Job Description

Human Resources AdministratorThe Company:Our client is a UK-wide charity, the work with organisations across the UK to transform the response to domestic abuse..The Job:Due to a period of growth within the business due to their success and funding they are looking for a HR Administrator to join their team on a fixed term 6 month contract. Within this role you will deliver the day-to-day transactional HR processes for thecharity and support the HR Officer to deliver effective and efficient Generalist HR support servicesThis role sits within in our Central Team in the Human Resources Department. It has active influence in all parts of the organisation throughout the employment lifecycle from recruitment through to exit interviews.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Be the first point of contact for all employee related queries from staff and managers, responding to process and standard HR queries and escalating complex queries to the HR Officer as and when appropriate.
  • Working closely with the HR Officer to create and review HR practices and procedures and implement improvements as required.
  • Responsible for assisting fellow HR administrator with recruitment process, inclusive of advertising, applicant management, and interview coordination.
  • To assist with coordination of new starter inductions.
  • Provide coordination and administration of HR processes and be responsible for the ongoing administration of the PeopleHR database - including updating and managing PeopleHR, preparing employment documentation and maintaining physical and online files andresources.
  • Tracking important HR information via team management tools (such a Trello/Teams etc) such as fixed term end dates, changes to contractual terms and conditions and payroll updates. Ensuring this information is flagged to managers and actioned as appropriate.
  • Produce management information and reports as required from People HR or other sources.
  • Escalating and employee relations issues, concerns, or feedback to the HR Officer.
  • Conducting check in review meetings and exit interviews with employees as required, providing notes
  • Support the ongoing review of policies and procedures, updating and circulating revised documents as required and measuring and ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain an accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication and ensure that all work is compliant with data protection law.
  • Engage in a constructive and effective way with all survivors of abuse, through calls to the office, Pioneer interaction, colleagues, and any other interaction we have in our day-to-day work
The Person:For this role its essential you have gained CIPD 3 and ideally have some HR Administration experience, however administration experiencer with the CIPD3 will also be considered. In addition to this they are looking for:
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and be discreet at all times.
  • Excellent project and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines without constant supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written with all levels of staff and managers.
  • Self-starter with the ability to use their initiative and judgement in dealing with staff and outside contacts without direct supervision.
  • Adaptable to change and able to support the ongoing development of the HR function
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skillsessential.
