Reed Property and Construction are working with a leading operating waste management company.We have an an opportunity at their Avonmouth site for a EHS Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.As the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of safety systems, procedures, and safe systems of work. Youll ensure compliance with environmental permits or licenses alongside an ability to interpretemissions data, develop working plans and auditing.Implementing policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality led environment with safety at its core, youll actively monitor, maintain, and manage environments and health and safety risks assessments, SSOW and method statements to ensure best practiceand prevention id incidents and accidents.Working closely with the Plant Manager and site team, youll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring a no compromise approach with regards to health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.For this role you will need an IOSH/NEBOSH safety qualification. Awareness of the relevant management standards OHSAS18001, ISO18001, ISO14001 and ISO50001. A good understanding and knowledge of environmental regulation and technical aspects of waste management.Relevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance focussed environment.Strong leadership skills to lead and develop a new team in a start-up scenario with a no compromise approach to health, safety and environmental compliance. Able to work with the Management Team to embed a safety and compliance focussed culture within a complexworkplace.Experience of permitted/regulated activities and processes, preferably within controlled emissions environment.Knowledge and experience of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS)Knowledge of the energy from waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledgeFull UK driving license.The salary for this role will be circa £54,000 per year and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.
