Our diversity and teamwork culture propel us to accomplish the extraordinary - on the ground, in the sky and in space.Description of the job:We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and SafetyAdvisor to join the UK EHS team at Airbus Group in Filton, Bristol.Reporting directly to the Filton EHS Lead, you will support the implementation of EHS UK policy for occupational health and safety management.You will support and enable the business to create an inclusive, values-driven and engaging working environment with the highest safety standards.Tasks and Accountabilities- You will work closely with and support the efforts of all members of the UK EHS Department.- You will provide professional and pragmatic support for the business, helping to drive improvements on a day to day basis.- You will assist the business to prevent injury, ill health and loss, ensuring the organisation reduces its accident and incident rates.- You will assist the business identify potential hazards that could lead to injury, ill health and loss by actively supporting the risk assessment process whilst also ensuring the control and management of risks within the work environment.- You will undertake periodic compliance audits and other appropriate monitoring activities including housekeeping audits identifying improvements that can then be implemented in a practical manner.- You will assist the local business areas deliver safety training strategies that meet the needs of compliance, policy and production.- You will assist the business units with the development of, tools and processes to support effective health and safety management, compliance, data capture and reporting.Skills and Experience- A minimum of NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or degree level H&S qualification- Can demonstrate up to 5 years experience in a similar role reporting to and working with key stakeholders on all matters concerning Health and Safety in a dedicated safetyadvisor role, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing or technical working environments- Have first-hand experience of formal risk assessment techniques.- A clear understanding of the pragmatic and practical application of health and safety standards.In return we can offer a great compensation package with annual profit share; a growing list of company benefits and career development options across our transnational, market leading companyThis role is based at our site in Filton, Bristol.We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.
