Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Marketing Operations to join an exciting FS organisation in Bristol. You will lead the day-to-day running of the marketing department. This role is ideal for a generalist marketer who has a strong understanding of all areas of marketingand how they work together. The Head of Marketing Operations will be a creative team leader and people manager, capable of inspiring and motivating others to do their best work.What youll be doing
  • Lead and manage the marketing team, including copywriting, design, brand, campaigns, digital marketing, paid marketing, SEO, social media, CRM, PR, internal communications, and insights.
  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, with high quality work and a significant impact.
  • Collaborate effectively with other teams, such as product, technology, finance, and support, to deliver initiatives.
  • Energize the marketing team, building a positive culture, growing our values, making work enjoyable, and increasing productivity. Inspire and motivate team members, spreading positivity and acting as their cheerleader.
  • Monitor, review, and report on all marketing activities, results, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Review and update existing processes, and design and create new operating processes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the performance of the marketing team and take action to make it happen.
  • Determine resource needs based on workload requirements and hire, onboard, and train team members and external support as necessary.
  • Review work produced by the marketing team to ensure it meets expectations, is on-brand, compliant (we are FCA regulated), and of high quality.
  • Take responsibility for team administration tasks such as reviewing expenses and managing holiday calendars.
  • Organize exciting and helpful team sessions.
  • Prepare marketing team updates to share with the wider team.
  • Lead the ongoing management of employee welfare, development, and motivation. Mentor team members, holding regular one-to-ones and annual performance reviews.
What experience youll need to apply
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role managing teams.
  • Excellent organizational, operational, and project management skills.
  • High energy level and ability to spark action in individuals and groups.
  • Commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to come up with innovative ideas to drive growth.
