Job Description

Global Health and Safety Manager - Remote BasedGlobal Health and Safety Managerrequired for a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of electro-mechanical solutions and products for a range of industries.As Global Health and Safety Manager you will provide strategic and day to day leadership to drive the delivery of the businesses EHS plan, which initially will be focused on:

  1. Partnering with the manufacturing sites to implement in a standardised and practical way, our group EHS policies and risk control standards, striving for world class EHS levels.
  2. Drive EHS KPI enhancement on our leading and lagging indicator programmes and internal audit scores in manufacturing operations. Focusing on a zero-harm mindset.
  3. Delivery of the Group EHS plan to the defined time scales as well as the site-specific safety improvement plans across operations.
  4. Supporting our manufacturing sites to embed the culture change programmes and create a culture of psychological safety.
  5. As a key member of the EHS senior leadership team, you will share and implement best practice across the region.
Experience and Skills of the Global Health and Safety Manager:
  • Self-managing and highly motivated, with strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in multiple teams.
  • Be organised, methodical, resilient, and approachable with strong communication & influencing skills.
  • Be delivery focused with strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to engage others effectively and drive change across all levels, finding pragmatic solutions.
  • Can effectively and appropriately challenge others for an improved EHS outcome.
  • Direct and extensive experience of leading, developing and implementing best-practice EHS in fast paced manufacturing environments.
  • Lead auditor experience.
  • Strong understanding of ISO14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
  • Ability to travel at short notice (estimated 20-40%).
  • Have proven experience of working with EHS systems and competent with Microsoft IT packages.
  • Valid qualification in occupational Health & Safety. Nebosh diploma or equivalent as a minimum.
