Job Description

Closing date: 01-04-2024Funeral Service Crew – Coroner Service£11.77 per hourplus shift premium and benefits22.5 hours per week, Part Time, 3 days per week, Sunday to Saturday, weekly rotating shift pattern covering 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm and 10pm-6amBristol BS30 8FRWe’re looking for part time Funeral Service Crew – Coroner Service to join our team in Bristol.This Service Crew role comes with a salary of £11.77per hour (plus shift premium) and excellent benefits. A full manual UK driver’slicence is required to apply.In this role, youll be responsible for carrying out the transfer of the deceased on behalf of the Coroners. Youll also support the day-to-day Funeralcare operation wherever possible, making sure that both Co-op’s and the Coroners ways of working are adheredto and delivered to the highest standard.Some of the main duties you can expect to take on as a Funeral Service Crew – Coroner Service member will include:

  • Driving our vehicles and carrying out the transfer of the deceased on behalf of the Coroner in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles
  • Preparing coffins and engraving nameplates
  • Assisting in the care and preparation of the deceased to the highest standards
This role would suit someone with the ability to react calmly and compassionately in emotional circumstances, as well as the ability to perform the physical aspects of the role (manual lifting).
