One of Bristols most loved digital agencies are looking for a Front-End Developer with WordPress experience to join their motivated and supportive team.   • Excellent HTML, CSS (SASS/LESS), PHP and JavaScript knowledge.
  • Experience with WordPress development.
  • Experience with Git & other repository tools.
  • A keen eye for good design & attention to detail.
Nice to haves:
  • Knowledge of JavaScript ES6 or frameworks (React/ Vue/ Express).
  • Experience with MySQL.
  • Experience with Linux command line.
  • Knowledge of APIs (e.g. RESTful, oAuth).
  • Experience with WooCommerce / Magento.
  • Enthusiasm to learn new technologies.
  • Experience with Node & NPM ecosystem.
  • Experience with task runners (Grunt, Gulp).
What youll be doingYoull be joining the team for the most part to work in WordPress theme development. They like to push creativity within web design, so ideally youll have the ability to create custom code that brings designs to life. You will be helping to build bespokewebsites utilising WordPress functionality such as; custom page templates, custom post types, rows powered by ACF, taxonomies & custom-built plugins. They need someone who can confidently hand build HTML/CSS using Sass, and integrate with WordPress to themeup templates, and custom post types. You will be working with developers who write PHP apps to fit with WordPress or as stand-alone apps, and this is a side that you will be able to build on and learn. They use Advanced Custom Fields to shape the editingUX, and use various JS libraries, so familiarity with JavaScript is good. You will also handle the live and development environments within AWS using Plesk, to deploy sites, via the GIT repository -theyll help you get to grips with this.What youll get in return for your talentsThis is a great chance to join a creative and quality-driven digital specialist.
