Job Description

BES Healthcare Ltd specialises in providing assistive technology and infection prevention equipment sourced from around the world and market-leading services to improve the health of individuals across the UK, directly or indirectly.At BES, we recruiting for a Full Stack Developer to join our Marketing Team based in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have experience in building multiple websites from concept to implementation, have the drive to continuously deliver great results, ability to manage multiple projects, and the enthusiasm to keep learning new and innovative techniques. The Role: This role is a new and exciting opportunity within our Marketing Department. You will have sole responsibility for developing multiple websites from scratch, including E-commerce sites for BES Healthcare Ltd and its subsidiaries based in Australia and Kent.We are looking for someone who has experience in writing code, developing UX and UI, working with front and back end of websites that are both brand-based and e-commerce. You will be managing these websites on a daily basis, making improvements, and ensure it fits with the overall company strategy. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement websites that fit with the overall company strategy
  2. Manage multiple website projects from concept to delivery
  3. Manage efficient working of these websites on a daily basis
  4. Participate in planning sessions with various internal stakeholders
  5. Work with internal stakeholders to continuously improve website performance and recommend ideas to deliver best results
  6. Deliver website ideas, changes, and improvements with confidence in meetings
  7. Identify/troubleshoot code and security related issues and bugs
  8. Ensure quality and completeness of websites through appropriate testing techniques
  9. Ensure websites are hosted correctly on relevant servers
Skills:
  1. Strong experience using WordPress is an essential
  2. Some experience or understanding of other content and store management platforms such as Umbraco, SilverStripe, Shopify, OpenCart, etc.
  3. Experience with CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, Vue, SQL
  4. Experience creating traffic to website using Node.js, Express.js or similar
  5. Experience creating adaptive and responsive web designs
  6. Understanding of API endpoints
  7. Ability to create sites that perform well across browsers and devices
  8. Experience with UX and UI design
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  10. Confident communicator
  11. Attention to detail
  12. Some understanding of Email marketing and SEO is desirable but not essential
About you: You will have a passion for web design, and the drive to continuously improve our websites and suggest out of the box ideas. You will have the enthusiasm to learn new innovative techniques and trends within the digital world and would be willing to better your skills. A team player, a problem solver, have good attention to detail, and the confidence to put your ideas across.Since this role is Bristol based, you would preferably live in Bristol or be within a commutable distance.
