Job Description

We stay at the forefront of retailing and consistently provide outstanding customer service,culminating in winning the Cruise Retailer of the Year award for 2022.About the role:The Financial Accountant is a pivotal member of the Harding Financial Control team, with responsibility for the alignment of forecasts of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow and the forecasting and actualisation of the company’s asset-based lending (ABL) facilityon a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.This role is an important and responsible role and involves liaison with key parts of the business, notably buying, sales and shop planners as well as within finance, including FP&A, Tax, AR, and AP.A key focus will be on maintaining and improving the supporting processes and systems to further enhance the accuracy of the forecasting and the efficiency of the process. The Financial Accountant (Treasury) will need to build strong relationships, rightacross the business and with our external partners, including clients, investors, and auditors.This role would suit someone with prior experience of financing and cash flow models, and someone with a real zest and aptitude to knit together the various trading forecasts and inputs into a credible forward cash and financing projection.Key role objectives:

  • Credible and reliable 13-week cash flow forecast, blending shorter-term transactional information with medium- and longer-term financial forecasts
  • Provision of weekly and monthly reports to the provider of the ABL and weekly drawdown requests
  • Incorporation of ABL features into the cash forecasting (e.g., allowances and limits)
  • Weekly discussion with buying team and regular interaction with those procuring capital expenditure (including shop planners and IT)
  • Identify and execute improvements in supporting processes and output
  • Close liaison with the Financial Controller and CFO to ensure alignment
  • Weekly payment execution as part of a team
  • Cover other objectives as set from time to time
About you:
  • Treasury qualification or ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant - would consider part-qualified with relevant experience. Harding+ supports those training for professional qualification
  • Proven experience knitting together several inputs into a regular short-term cash flow forecast
  • Strong Excel skills and systems aptitude
  • Takes initiative to implement changes that will simplify and improve processes
  • An ability to quickly pick-up new systems
  • Experienced in working well as part of a team
  • Meticulous attention to detail and curiosity to understand more
  • Takes pride in own work with a desire to constantly learn
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
