Job Description

Join us as a Finance System Senior Business Analyst

  • Take on a critical role defining and realising fantastic solutions, processes, benefits and new opportunities to deliver to our stakeholders
  • Youll be seen as a subject matter expert for new projects in Finance and Regulatory Reporting
  • Its a great chance to hit the ground running and make a tangible impact on our function
    • What youll doIn your new role, youll be managing the analysis of complex cross franchise and pan group requirements, while capturing, validating and documenting business and system requirements and making sure that they are in line with key strategic principles. In the course of your work, well also look to you to manage the relationship between Private Banking Technology teams and our senior stakeholders in Finance, Risk, Regulatory and Treasury functions across the bank. Well also look to you to work closely with Avaloq and data warehouse technical specialists. Youll also:
  • Create and maintain documentation, as well as support controls and quality assurance for key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Supporting the end-to-end involvement through finance and regulatory project lifecycles, including requirements shaping, solutionising, test support, achieving sign-off, post go-live support
  • Identify and support cut-over and implementation tasks
  • Trace and link business requirements to future state design
  • Create and execute test scenarios and test scripts at various stages of the project in order to validate the solution design
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and support business users in executing the user acceptance testing
    • The skills youll needWere looking for a qualified accountant, ideally with a background in financial control and regulatory reporting in a UK banking environment. Youll need to hold an appropriate business analyst certification, such as BAX, CPRE and CBAP. Additionally, youll have an analytical mindset, with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your work. Youll also need:
  • Experience of applying business analysis tools and techniques
  • A background of delivering business analysis in a technology or IT function
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to provide business and data analysis of accounting and regulatory-relevant data in Avaloq and its data warehouse
  • The ability to query an Oracle database to understand data
