Job Description

Our client is one of the worlds leading communications services companies, selling products and services that are integral to modern life. Their purpose is as simple as it is ambitious: to use the power of communications to make a better world.Location: Bristol Duration: 6 monthsResponsibilities

  • Working in partnership with another Finance Manager, ensuring that there is resilience and shared understanding around the key revenue models and SASP governance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on IFRS15
  • Support commercial finance teams in assessing the impact of application of IFRS15 to new propositions
  • Support the financial accounting team in development of accounting policies which are impacted or driven by IFRS15
  • Develop "LiM" revenue models for application of new accounting policies or propositions
  • Provide ad-hoc training to new joiners, non-finance stakeholders, etc
  • Support project teams in assessing IFRS15 impacts on system and process requirements
  • Own IFRS15 Month end process
    • Skills & Experience Required
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA)
  • Strong technical knowledge around IFRS15, and ability to apply this knowledge in a commercial environment.
  • Advanced financial modelling (excel) skills - ability to build/manipulate detailed models to arrive at appropriate outputs/metrics to support decision making.
  • Communication skills - translating complex financial outcomes to financial and nonfinancial stakeholders through both oral and written communication. Ability to tailor message to the relevant audience, distilling key messages without losing the appropriate level of detail
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrable professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business environment.
  • Able to identify issues, get to root causes through the use of financial analysis and insight to diagnose and solve problems
  • Able to deal with ambiguity, identify resources to implement and determine pragmatic solutions.
