BCS supplies and operates all IT, security, procurement, and finance Shared Services. We are embeddedalongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships that support delivery to our customers. We drive standardisation, simplification and automation across Babcock, to help generate sustainable value for the group andour external customers.The roleThe difference our new Finance Analyst will makeAs a Finance Analyst, youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Youll also be responsible for delivering targeted, value-addedshort-term cash insight reporting to key decision makers, making a real impact on the direction of the company. This role provides access to any UK Babcock hub alongside home working arrangements.Essential Experience* Experience in understanding and manipulating data to present clear and concise financial messages for review* Experience of Finance IT applications (e.g., SAP, Navision, IFS etc.)* Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Outlook* Part qualified accountant as a minimum - funding support offered if completing qualifications* Technical finance skills - proven ability to understand and interpret accounting principles (being able to explain technical accounting to non-technical, non-financial staff) is desirable* Successful candidates will need to satisfy security requirements.
