Job Description

* Must either have some form of electrical qualification or experience in the fire/security industry*Fire Alarm and Call Systems Maintenance EngineerUp to £20,000 pa( £28K OTE ) / 37.5 hour week / early finish Friday / 25 + 8 days holiday / Door to Door/ Skoda Octavia Estate / private use/ enhanced overtime and out of town rate / fuel card / tools / mobile phoneWe are a successful company established for over 50 years, who manufacture, design and install their own systems with national coverage, employing over 200 staff across the business with 40 engineers nationally. We are proud of our reputation in the industry and have a very low staff turnover, due to the support and ongoing training that our employees are provided with.We are currently looking to recruit a fire alarm and call systems maintenance engineer to join our team as a trainee. We will provide you with full training and support on the job to ensure you are confident going out working on our equipment. You will be attending hospitals (major acute and community), prisons and commercial across the South West area, mainly dealing with fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, cell call and general alarm.The main duties will involve;· Attending customer sites to carry out planned maintenance on nurse calls systems.· Attending customer sites to carry out planned maintenance on fire alarms and smoke detectors.· Attending customer sites to carry out planned maintenance on cell call and general alarm systems.· Once you are fully trained you will be added to the on call rota.· You will be some requirement to stay away from home if there is a distant job (this will be fully funded and you will be put up in a hotel with an out of town allowance )Package and benefits:· Basic salary in the region of £20,000 as a trainee + overtime (Basic salary will go up as you gain more experience and pass your long term training).· Company car - Skoda Octavia Estate with private use available· Overtime paid at enhanced overtime rates· All travelling time paid door to door· Out of town payment of £30 per night on top of any over time + accommodation· Full system and equipment training provided.· 25 days holiday + bank holidays.· Tools and uniform provided.· Company credit card for expenses· Company mobile phone.· Pension.The person:· You should be professional, organised and have excellent communication skills and be confident to speak to customers on site about the work you are undertaking.· You should also come from a basic electrical or mechanical background· Hold a full UK driving licence.· We will need to put you through DBS and Prison national database enhanced clearance due to the nature of our work and being on sites with vulnerable customers
