SMT GB Volvo are offering you the chance to join our Field Based team as a Field Based Engineer. We have a requirement to service our customers between Bristol and Exeter, therefore we’d welcome applications from candidates living within the M5 corridor ofthese locations.Working within a well-established and knowledgeable team, you will learn all you need to know about Volvo Construction Machinery as part of your induction, and ongoing training and development. Visiting customer sites, you will carry out both planned andreactive service, maintenance, and repair work on the full range of Volvo plant machinery including our diggers, dumpers, loaders, and excavators.The role is best suited to an Engineer, Mechanic, or Technician, with previous experience of servicing heavy machinery, including minor and major repairs and fault diagnosis. A qualification in Plant Maintenance or Land Based Engineering, or a similar industryis essential. We will consider both level 2 and 3 qualifications, however you must have hands-on experience, as well as a full UK Driving licence and the right to work in the UK.We have recently reviewed our pay rates to assist with the cost-of-living increases, which makes this a very attractive base salary. Working 38.5 hours per week on single time, overtime is paid as time and half up to 12 noon on Saturdays and double timethereafter. You have the potential to double your wage with overtime, should you wish to.
