Job Description

As a PM Engineer you will work in conjunction with the controller, to maximise the operational availability of equipment for the customer through timely and efficient PM servicing and inspections working in commercial properties within the region, identifyingpossible issue’s which may impact availability as well as being tasked with carrying out minor repairs as requested. During this role you will be an ambassador for safety, by servicing the products in a manner which promotes safety for self and customer.As a Finning employee, you will receive:

For this position it is essential that all drivers have held a full driving licence for 2 years. (Eligibility will be subject to afull DVLA licence check)*Working Hours - 43hrs per week (flexi start and finish times). Working pattern Monday - FridayMajor Job Functions:
  • Preventative Maintenance Servicing (carrying out routine servicing of equipment in line with manufacturers guidelines, taking routine oil samples) 75%
  • Machine Inspection (carry out visual / mechanical analysis of machine condition highlighting developing issues with systems and components including, electrical, mechanical) 20%
  • Minor Repairs (complete minor repairs as identified during machine inspection) 5%
Accountability:
  • To attend customer locations as advised by controller, to carry out preventive maintenance servicing.To liaise with service controller and customer both at the outset and as work progresses.To ensure that all work is carried out to high standards andthat equipment is safe before handing back to customer.Ensure equipment is serviced in line with manufacturers recommendations and that all associated paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner including recording customer signatures. Takeproper care of company vehicle and equipment.
Specific Skills:
  • The job requires a basic knowledge of Diesel and / or Gas generators and how to safely carry out routine maintenance of that product. This should include a Fundamental knowledge of the 2 main product elements, the engine (both diesel and gas powered) andthe alternator.
Knowledge:
  • Either direct experience (around 3 years) of working with electric power generation (diesel or Gas generators) OEM experience would be beneficial.
