Job Description

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Fibre Supervisor or an experienced Fibre Engineer looking to progress into Supervision.The ideal candidate will have knowledge in building Fibre Networks, together with experience in cabling and splicing, with a thorough knowledge of fibre testing.You will need to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation, organisation and supervision skills.A proven background in the Telecoms and FTTP fibre networks market is essential.Salary up to £43K, Company Vehicle, pension and great company benefits.The main duties include the responsibility for the following:

  • Managing all splicing activities on the clients network to include, splicing of cables, Joint management- Testing of cabinets and Trunk routes and provision of in spec Test results.
  • Ongoing management of onsite fibre / splicing teams.
  • Working closely with the clients to deliver projects.
  • Good awareness of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance Procedures.
  • Monitor the delivery and performance of work.
  • Working to tight SLAs.
  • Onsite supervision/Coaching.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and environmental policies.
  • Deal with day-to-day issues and problem-solving.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and environmental policies.
  • Dealing with toolbox talks, provide technical support to include onsite planning.
  • Responsible for van audits.
  • Reporting of Work in Progress.
The ideal candidate for this role should have the following skills & qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years Telecoms FTTx experience.
  • Previously worked at supervisory level or looking to progress into supervison.
  • Effective Leadership and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to motivate others effectively.
  • Results orientated attitude.
  • Awareness of Customer Satisfaction for both internal and external sources.
  • Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
