Job Description

Fabric Engineer / Multi-skilled engineer - Southwest Salary £30,000-£40,000 per annumPivotal construction recruitment is working alongside a rapidly growing, award winning mechanical contractor based in greater Bristol. They are seeking to build their FM team with experienced Fabric / Multi-skilled engineers.Working on planned and reactive maintenance, on a variety of commercial premises throughout the southwest.An open mind can do attitude and willingness to strive for excellence is key. They are seeking individuals that are truly passionate about the industry and are only looking for applicants who want to progress into more senior roles.Their mission is to provide the highest quality of services to the building services sector. They will require the successful candidate to have excellent communication and organisation skills, as you will not only be communicating with the internal team,but also some of their clients. THE ROLE

  • Full time permanent position, working 42.5 hrs per week (plus overtime)
  • To carry out all PPM and Reactive repairs, as necessary across the portfolio
  • Liaise with the helpdesk in relation to work orders
  • Responsible for a variety of minor installations and maintenance across multiple trades
  • Complete relevant paperwork and report diligently
  • Work in a customer focused environment where quality and service is paramount
  • Ensure every task is carried out to the highest standard of workmanship and safety
  • Availability for out of hours call out, and occasional weekend work
  • Working across FM, projects, planned & reactive maintenance teams
DESIRABLE SKILLS
  • Carpentry
  • Painting and decorating
  • Kitchen and bathroom fitting
  • Tiling
  • Basic plaster repairs
  • Basic plumbing
  • Basic electrical skills/knowledge
  • Basic building fabric duties
  • Flooring
  • RAMS & PTW working knowledge and experience
APPLICANT SPEC
  • Experience in a varied maintenance role
  • Full driving license
  • DBS check
  • Ability to work from plans
  • A can-do attitude

  • Possess a high degree of attention to detail
  • Awareness of Health and Safety
