Have you worked withwood, using hand tools and machinerywith a good eye for detail We are recruiting for aWoodCrate Maker/ Export Packerto join a leading worldwide organisation inAvonmouth.Hourlyrate £10-12.49 per hour dependent on experienceplus overtime working8am-4.30pm Mon-Fri, excellent benefits and UK and worldwide travel!As aCase Maker, you will be working as part of a team of 10, manufacturing crates for various equipment which varies in weight and size, most of which will be exported worldwide for high profile clients. You will work from adrawing,working out all dimensions, timber and materials needed to then use industrial saws, CNC machinery and hand tools to construct the casingto meet the specification provided.It is essentialyou have worked with wood previously, either crate or pallet makingwith good knowledge of usinghand tools and nail guns. Experience ofexport packingis beneficial with the ability toreadtechnical drawings. A good level of Maths is required. Carpentry or joinery skills would be advantageous.This is apermanentrole based inAvonmouthalthoughtravel within the UK and abroadis required in this role so you MUST be prepared to travel. Yourown transportis also required for therole due to the location.You must be willing toundergo a DBS checkfor the role and must not have any unexplained employment gaps of longer than 28 days in the last 5 years.The role would suit: Pallet Maker, Case Maker, Export Packer, Woodshop Machinist, Crate Maker.Commutable from: Bristol, Avonmouth, Severn Beach, Chepstow, Newport, Aust, Bradley Stoke, Nailsea, Portishead, Clevedon, Shirehampton, Henbury, Westbury on Trym, Caldicot.
