Brook Street are currently recruiting for a temporary Shipping & Maritime Activities Executive to provide maternity cover to work for a government client working Hybrid with 1 day in the office (Wednesday)This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain invaluable experience across the multifaceted Defence Maritime Domain on a temporary basis for Maternity Cover.Hybrid Working role-Office based in BristolThis is a temporary Role for 12 months to cover maternityThe role is full time hours, 37 hours a week, Monday-Friday 9-5Pay rate is £17.16 per hour-Paid weeklyPrimary Responsibilities:o Supporting the DMR Deputy Shipping Registrar through:1. Collaborating closely with the DMR Inspectorate and the Regulated Community to ensure the Shipping and Maritime Activities Registers are kept up to date.2. Maintaining the shipping and activity entries through confirming the accuracy of the data.3. Supporting the publication and transfer of the Shipping Register4. Managing the contracted tasking for the Shipping Register and Maritime Activities Register.5. Providing other support to the Deputy Shipping Registrar in the pursuance of their registrar role, including support to working groups and committees.o Supporting the management of domain compliance with DSA02-DMR Regulations 1. Managing the domain-wide DMR Regulations Review Council, including setting of and sending out the agenda, maintaining the Terms of Reference, taking and then drafting the Minutes.2.Publishing of the Regulations documents on appropriate websites and in hard copy3. Supporting the development and maintenance of the DMR Regulations Source Record.o Ownership of the DMR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Desk Instructions relevant to their responsibilities: to include the production, review, amendment and validation of them.Desirable:It is desirable that applicants have experience of:o Defenceo The Maritime domaino Registration/certification of shipsIt is desirable that applicants hold a current Security Clearance.
