Job Description

Commercial estimator / Estimator: £70,000 - 80,000 annual salary + 28 days Holiday + Car allowanceWorking with the UKs largest commercial contractor - fantastic money and package available. Flexible/remote working is supported within a commutable distance from the office based in Bristol.Main PurposeThe main purpose of this role is to produce high quality commercial estimates that secure contracts at a price that can be met by our delivery teams. You will hold a senior position and report directly to the director of new projects.Duties include:

  • Compile large tender submissions.
  • Produce accurate and timely national and regional estimates.
  • Check tender documentation and identify risk.
  • Identify sub-contractor requirements.
  • Evaluate material quotes and cub contractor price returns.
  • Produce forecast budgets for labour, plant, and materials.
We are looking for:
  • Proven record in pricing bids using first base principles.
  • Experience in post tender negotiations with clients
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Fantastic communication skills
Not essential but desirable
  • Refurbishment, social housing and painting estimating experience
  • CLAIT or ECDL computer qualifications
