Would you love the opportunity to work on some of the UKs leading Defence Technical Projects and Programmes, supporting our Armed Forces in current and future operations Are you fascinated by cutting-edge technology and excited by thechance to work first-hand with armoured vehicles, rocket launch systems, laser technology, fire control systems, targeting software, rifles and pistols DE&S are looking for a number of Engineers to join their team in the Land Domain. There are exciting opportunitiesfor Engineers within the Land Equipment Operating Centre. Roles are available in the following Teams: Artillery Systems; This team is responsible for the procurement and support of mobile artillery and multi-launch rocket systems, man-portable radar systems,battlefield information systems and field guns. Soldier Training and Special Programmes; This team is responsible for the procurement and support of soldier carried equipment, training systems and specialist remote control vehicles for ordnance, munitionsand explosives activity. Vehicle Demonstration and Manufacture; This team is responsible for getting a large and complex armoured vehicle programme into the hands of the user. AJAX will provide a step-change in versatility and agility. Vehicle Support; Thisteam is responsible for providing support to vehicles and equipment currently in-service, including Foxhound, Landrovers, Challenger 2 and the Cougar fleet. Responsibilities of the Engineer The responsibilities of these posts will include, but not be limited to, the following: * Support multi-disciplined engineering or science teams to deliver packages of work or services to quality, time andcost. * Identify and support the management of technical risks and opportunities. * Support the development of safety and environmental cases. * Liaise with Stakeholders at all levels. * Support engineering planning activities. What you will be assessed againstTo be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria: Relevant Level 4 (HNC or higher) qualification in an Engineering or Science subject or equivalent experience. Professionally Registered status or hasdemonstrated equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.
