Job Description

My client a very successful company based in Filton, Bristol and is looking to recruit an experienced Electronics Assembly operative for a long term permanent career opportunity. Many other benefits as well.The duties range from, inspection of new and used parts and assemblies, assembly and dis-assembly of electrical assemblies, soldering, potting and staking of PCB`s, some testing of the completed assemblies to ensure they are ready for downhole use, wiringof harnesss and performing some testing of new products.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:The individual will be accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of assembling PCBs for downhole use.
  • Excellent soldering skills.
  • Attention to detail and repeatability of process.
  • Use of hand / power tools (desired but not essential)
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and follow procedures.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREDList Required qualifications/experienceThe individual must at a minimum possess the following:
  • IPC trained (Does not need to be currently qualified)
  • Working knowledge of office 365 programs
  • An understanding of quality and how important it is to the company.
  • Able to communicate both verbally and written.
  • Organized with the ability to handle more than one job at a time.
  • Can prioritize their workload to complete their goals as situations arise.
  • A good working attitude, whatever the task.
  • Conscientious and hard working.
  • Team player that can work with others.
List Preferred qualifications/experience
  • Oil and Gas / Aerospace Industry experience or similar
  • 2 years experience in a production environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The individual must be able to:
  • Operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, and copier/printer/scanning machine.
  • Walk/travel to production areas while wearing the appropriate Personal Protection Equipment when required (i.e. safety glasses or side shields, closed toe shoes, steel-toe footwear, etc.).
  • The employee must be able to lift or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Sit and/or stand for long periods of time; up to 8-9 hours a day.
