Job Description

ElectricianLocation: South West basedSalary: CompetitiveHours: 40 hours a week (On average around 50 hours a week including travel) (Hours of work can vary according to the demands of the customer & access. Flexibility is essential)Are you an Electrician, looking for a Monday-Friday, days-based role that offers training, plenty of overtime and door to door payThis is a fantastic opportunity to work for a friendly, family run company that is expanding, you would be covering a local patch (South West based) with future opportunities of progression to a supervisory role.The Role In this varied role, you will undertake a variety of the following commercial electrical works (EICR’s, Visual Inspections, Emergency Lighting Installations & Tests, Fire Alarm Test & Inspections, Remedial Works Following These Inspections, Electrical Installation,Portable Appliance Testing etc.)Skills and Experience

  • Electrician / Electrical Technician
  • City and Guilds BS 7671 18th Edition
  • City and Guilds 2394/2395 or 2391 Inspection and Testing
  • Candidates must have completed a recognised apprenticeship - NVQ / City & Guilds and must have a minimum of three years’ experience working within electrical sector
  • Have an understanding of BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting Tests & Installations)
  • Have an understanding and experience of BS 5839-1 2013 Part 1 (Non-Domestic - Fire Alarm Installations) Desirable
  • Fantastic communication & customer service skills
  • Have good time keeping and attendance
  • Have a high level of skill, knowledge, and experience of electrical works
  • Be able to prioritise workloads, be a team player, pro-active, self-motivated and have good attention to detail
  • Ability to trace, diagnose and rectify faults as well as understand and interpret work
  • Be fully conversant with the current IEE Wiring Regulations model reporting forms (Experience with electronic certification software is desirable)
  • The post holder will also have a full driving license and will produce it when requested
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of email is essential as results are sent to the office daily
