A leading mortgages advisorDescriptionBe the dedicated person for compliance and risk oversight function and hold the controlled functions with the FCA (SMF16)Be a leader in embedding compliance in our corporate culture,build the team and ensure that all staff are trained and appropriately informed in relation to all compliance matters affecting the businessAccountable for advising the Board and Executive Management, and work with the Commercial Director in operational implementation of the companys Compliance and Conduct Risk approach, ensuring a culture that underpins fairness and supports positive customeroutcome is embedded in the businessProvide clear, pragmatic guidance and support to the business in relation to compliance and regulatory matters, including mortgage lending, data protection, anti-money laundering, tax compliance and emerging regulationProfileoperational and leadership experience in a compliance function and currently in a senior managerial position, in a UK financial services businessPreviously held or prepared to hold FCA controlled functions of SMF 16Ideally, the candidate will be familiar with regulated mortgage lending and/or funds management laws and regulationsRelevant degree or qualificationAbility to develop credibility with business stakeholders and work well under pressureAbility to communicate across a number of key stakeholders including senior, executive and board levelHighly organised and efficient, with ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines and be comfortable with regulatory changeBe ethical and carry the highest degree of integrityJob OfferFlexible working, great role to build a team with a high level of autonomy.
