Job Title: Director of Research & AnalysisLocation: BristolSalary: £55,652 to £66,660 per yearJob Type: Full time, PermanentClosing date: Midday on Wednesday 22 February 2023The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is a Bristol-based national charity that supports people and organisations across the UK to tackle the climate emergency and end the suffering caused by cold homes. We do this by sharing our knowledge, practical experienceand policy insights.The RoleThis is a unique opportunity to take up a senior leadership role in CSE that will shape our research work going forward, maintaining our role as a leading innovator in sustainable energy research and analysis, and influencing UK government policy and energyindustry practice around fuel poverty and the climate emergency.The successful candidate will provide leadership to the Research & Analysis team - taking overall responsibility for delivering, shaping, and developing all aspects of the teams work, and setting priorities for future projects, programmes and funding.The team has particular expertise and capabilities in the following fields: buildings and energy systems modelling and software engineering; social research associated with fuel poverty, consumer behaviour, energy demand reduction and fairness in the netzero transition; and energy consultancy with a focus on the planning and deployment of renewable energy and low carbon technologies.As a member of CSEs senior leadership team, the postholder will work closely with the Chief Executive and other directors, with oversight from CSEs Board of Trustees.
