As a DevOps Engineer in our central team, you will work in a highly collaborative way to drive efforts to build, support and improve our tools for Continuous Integration, automated testing and release management within our public and private Cloud hosting platform.We expect that you will demonstrate and apply outstanding engineering practices to increase agility, improve quality and help reduce downtime in all our solutions.A DevOps is not a “thing you do” but a cultural change more than anything, you are also expected to drive this change and ensure that we embed agile and DevOps principles in everything we do. We want to see placement of these skills in context – why they matter,what value they bring, how to get the most from them, how to evolve them and spread them further within the organisation.It is also very important to understand and apply industry standard methodologies, foster collaborative working to provide solutions for complex business problems where no precedent may exist and ensure implementation of solutions where appropriate. You will be a core contributor to ensure good quality and engineering practices are followed in accordance with engineeringtransformation strategy.About You:Experience of managing applications running in a Cloud environment providing operational support, troubleshooting, tuning, upgrade & optimisation.Who we are looking for...

  • Strong familiarity with source code repositories and other tools, particularly Git
  • Experience across the entire software development life cycle from inception, through build to production. This encompasses:
    • Continuous integration
    • Automated deployments
    • Build tools and technologies (i.e., maven, nm.)
Tools we commonly used to build automated release pipelines in LBG:
  • Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD, GitOps
  • NexusIQ, SonarQube
  • Expert in Docker & Kubernetes. Bonus if you are CKAD certified.
  • Hands on Cloud experience with both public Cloud experience - ideally with GCP, Azure
  • Knowledge of fundamentals cloud architecture and security concepts
  • Knowledge of tools for cloud infra as code, specifically Terraform.
  • Certifications are a welcome plus:
    • Experience with a configuration and deployment management tools is an advantage, e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef
    • A “can-do” attitude, capability of bootstrapping projects, and ability to effectively work with multi-disciplinary, internal and external distributed teams across the project lifecycle.
    • Familiarity with agile development practices, continuous integration and test automation (TDD, BDD, Selenium)

  • Experience in a similar sized company utilising DevOps practices in the Cloud.
