Job Description

DevOps EngineerAWS, Terraform, Docker, Node/JavaScript£70,000 + benefits packageHybrid workingA scaling business based in the South West are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic Development team. The business are revolutionising their industry with custom digital solutions that redefine traditional approaches.As an experienced DevOps engineer you will need to have previous experience designing and building scalable solutions!DevOps Engineer essential technical skills:

  • AWS (API Gateway, Lambdas, ECS, IAM)
  • strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform
  • Docker (building and creating containers - preferably with node)
  • Pipelines for building and deploying node/JavaScript applications
  • Expertise in source code management using Git, GitFlow, and GitLab.
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts, best practices, and credentials management.
  • Experience in automating pipeline builds, tests, deployments, and releases.
  • Ability to implement observability solutions for monitoring, alerting, and notification.
  • Scripting expertise, particularly in bash.
  • Prior experience working in an Agile software development environment.
Bonus Points for experience with:
  • MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Understanding networking concepts, protocols, ports, routing, firewalls, and ACLs.
