Job Description

About the roleYou will be supporting the development and enhancement of in-house developed applications used across our Deals Practice. Projects will be mostly green field in nature, so you will have the opportunity to develop new solutions from the ground up and have significantinput on technical direction. Your responsibilities will include but may not be limited to

  • Creating bespoke applications using .NET and React to serve the needs of our staff and clients.
  • Assisting our dedicated User Experience team to refine design ideas before working to develop and deliver them.
  • Working alongside our Testing Team to ensure that your applications are as close to the requirements as possible and most importantly are bug free!
  • Producing technical documentation and developer guides alongside the projects you develop.
  • Taking part in code reviews and providing input on architectural decisions.
  • Engaging in our sprint ceremonies ranging from daily standups to sprintly retrospective, refinement, and planning sessions.
RequirementsIf you are naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems in a rigorous and logical manner, for a variety of different businesses then this is the role for you. Alongside other members of the team you will engage with senior membersof our business and clients, helping to solve their business problems and generate value for our clients. You will need significant experience demonstrating a number of the following skills
  • Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude, and enjoy problem solving;
  • An ability to work effectively on tasks, both individually and collaboratively;
  • The ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, self-review your work and produce deliverables of a high quality under tight client deadlines in time pressured environments;
  • A strong desire to acquire and share technical knowledge with others;
  • Passion for technology and new tools and applying and developing yourself to new areas (e.g. quickly getting up to speed with tools, analytical approaches and business challenges);
  • Build collaborative working relationships at all levels, establishing credibility both internally and externally.
Technical skills
  • Experience developing applications using the .NET6+ stack using C#
  • Experience developing ASP.NET Web APIs
  • Experience developing React Applications alongside the .NET stack using Typescript
  • Experience using the GIT version control system
  • An understanding of the Agile development process
  • An understanding of cloud services such as Azure, Google Cloud and AWS
  • Proven experience in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
The following skills are also desirable
  • Experience of Entity Framework, ADO.NET, and SQL
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Javascript (jQuery, React, etc)
  • Other coding languages and tools such as Python, Databricks, or similar.
LocationThis position is a hybrid opportunity based out of either our Bristol or Belfast offices; the team spend between two and three days in the office on average otherwise working remotely.
