Job Description

Senior Security ConsultantLocation: Bristol (BS32). Flexible working and opportunity to work from home may be available.Salary:Negotiable, plus car allowance, plus up to 10% performance bonus*, plus excellent benefits package.Logiq Consulting are Cyber Security and Information Assurance experts. We specialise in providing leading edge consultancy to high risk clients, and delivering a range of security services and products throughout the Private and Public Sector. We are a Microsoft Silver Partner.Due to a rapid increase in clients within our Consultancy Division we have a requirement for a Security Consultant to join our expanding consultancy team. The ideal candidate will have current or recent experience working in a government security advisory role, ideally within Defence or Security organisations.The Role:Join our growing consultant team, working with internal and external clients to develop and deliver secure IT services and systems. You will be capable of working independently or as part of a multi-disciplined team, and have experience of and be comfortable operating in a customer friend type role, supporting the client to develop and deliver secure systems, understanding risks and managing complex system security. Leading Security Engineering and Accreditation tasks, working on parallel projects and workstreams, you will be comfortable taking the lead on day to day client interface.You will need experience of developing technical risk assessments using recognised national and international standards alongside producing a range of technical security documentation including, but not limited to: Scoping documents, Security Architecture Documents, RMADS, and SyOPs. It is essential that you have experience working across the system lifecycle and be capable of supporting clients through requirement specification and definition, developing system security requirements, and producing security test and acceptance documents. You will also be familiar with scoping and managing ITHCs, as well as producing and managing remediation plans. Technically you will be capable of supporting clients commercial activities by defining the architecture and security work packages to be provided by suppliers, this will include supporting tender assessment activities such as evaluating tender submissions, evaluation documents and defining assessment metrics.Essential Skills: 3+ years proven experience in a senior security consultancy roleExperience in MOD security processes and practices (JSP 604, JSP 440, JSP 902, DEFCON 659a).Experience of delivering Defensive Cyber, Enterprise Architecture and Secure System Design related projects and tasks.KnowledgeUnderstanding of national and international standards including ISO27000 and NIST Cyber Security FrameworkFamiliarity with recent NCSC guidance and legacy IA standardsDemonstratable knowledge of:Computer SecurityNetwork SecurityCloud SecuritySystem HardeningSecure Boundary Controls and ProtectionCryptographic controls (Data at Rest, Data in Transit, PKI)Protective Monitoring and System Security AuditEssential Certifications, Qualifications Experience:Certified Information System Security Practitioner (CISSP)Ideally 2.1 Engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics degree or HND alternative.Desirable QualificationsHigher degree such as MSc or PhD.IEng or CEng registered with UK Engineering body.CREST Registered Security Architect.NCSC CCP registered (SIRA or Security Architect).Other information:Logiq is a fantastic place to work.
