Wed love to hear from you!About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Conflicts Manager to join our progressive and dynamic risk and compliance team. This role offers autonomy for you to own and enhance our control framework for Conflicts of Interest. You will embed and evolve our policyand standards, ensuring a suitably robust 1st Line Risk and Control Framework for Conflicts of Interest identification and management across the HL Group.This role offers you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to HL, as you will be the expert and point of contact for Conflict Subjects, Owners, Assessors and Senior Management in relation to Conflicts of Interest, reporting to the ConflictsCommittee on all elements of the Conflicts of Interest Framework. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team where you will have opportunity to grow within our risk and compliance function.What youll be doing

  • Drives, supports and makes recommendations to the relevant Senior Managers in their Reasonable Steps in relation to Conflicts of Interest
  • Assess the current Conflicts of Interest oversight, reporting and attestation process, and implement appropriate enhancements
  • Manages the Conflicts of Interest Register and provides detailed recommendations and enhancements as required
  • Drives the annual review of the Conflicts of Interest policy, standards, roles and responsibilities, and associated guidance with ExCo members/ AEs
  • Maintain detailed records on all aspects of the conflicts management process for internal documentation and audit purposes
  • Act as the Owner of the Conflict of Interest Register with delegated authority
  • Designs and owns the Conflict of Interest risk controls on MetricStream
  • Owns the Conflicts of Interest mailbox for all of HL Group - executing queries and requests for information relating to Conflicts of Interest
  • Conducts periodic reviews based on each Conflicts materiality assessment as part of the annual oversight programme
  • Provide all aspects of support to HL in all tasks relating to conflicts management
  • Support the Conflicts of Interest governance committee and provide regular and periodic reporting as required
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks as directed by senior management to support the Conflicts of Interest programme at HL
About you
  • Conflicts of Interest Programme Management
  • Experience of Asset Management, Funds, Platforms and Advisory regulated environments
  • Sound understanding of FCA Handbook, MIFID II and relevant regulations relative to Conflicts of Interest
  • Professionalism and the ability to influence in a positive manner
  • Proactive, organised and self sufficient
  • Ability to contribute ideas for process improvements and adapt easily to procedural changes
  • Positivity and the adoption of a solution-based approach in all aspects of work
Interview processThis will be a 2 stage interview process consisting of a competency based interview and a presentation.Working ScheduleWe are looking for a Conflicts Manager to join our team, based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is a permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
