Job Description

The Compliance Team is responsible for: ensuring that ALD (and its products and services) comply with FCA regulation; performing internal and external compliance monitoring; implementing a robust business continuity programme; ensuring that our consumer documentation is compliant with law and regulation; and that anti-bribery policies are implemented.As part of our continued program of improvement we’re currently seeking an addition to the team in the form of a Compliance Monitoring Officer, with particular focus on head office and as such requiring the successful applicant to be able to display a solid and through understanding of the FCA handbook. Considering the nature of the role we would look favourable on a compliance qualification and or support an individual to further their knowledge through professional study.Key Purpose

  • Provide regulatory support to the business through effective monitoring and analysis of operational functions
  • Support and assist the business through future regulatory change, lending assistance and guidance where required
  • Create and support an environment of continual improvement, working closely with Peers and Colleagues throughout ALD Automotive
  • Summary of Responsibilities
  • Conduct monitoring of regulated activities within ALD against relevant FCA and CCA/CCD rules and regulations
  • Recommend relevant and pragmatic actions to drive improvement within ALD to address any shortcomings
  • Produce quality reports following monitoring activity for senior management
  • Monitor, review and follow-up the implementation of compliance recommendations agreed with management
  • Manage, develop and continuously review the compliance risk universe
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of the annual compliance monitoring plan
  • Provide internal monthly reporting for management
  • Assist in the provision of compliance training to the first line of defence
  • Undertake other ad-hoc compliance tasks as required
  • Assist with the coordination and submission of FCA Gabriel reporting
  • Essential Criteria
  • Knowledge of the FCA handbook, with a specific focus on CONC
  • Experience of working within a Compliance or audit function
  • Good standard of IT Literacy with a specific focus on Microsoft products
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business both verbally and in writing
  • Able to influence effectively and be resilient under challenge to drive the right outcomes
  • Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Experience of working to deadlines in a changing environment
  • Ability to work independently with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Experience of working within a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of CCA/CCD would be advantageous however not essential
