Commercial Finance Cost AnalystAre you an experienced cost analyst who is passionate about using finance to shape commercial decision making Do you aspire to be part of a purposeful, sustainable and growing ethical brand and want to use your expertise to help Pukka deliver our missionBased in our award-winning Bristol head office, and reporting to our Head of Commercial Finance, this exciting permanent, full-time role comes with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience, alongside a benefits package designed to nurtureyour wellbeing and personal development.About the opportunityOur Commercial Finance team business partner the rest of the organisation, helping deliver financial insights to shape and transform the way we do things at Pukka. In this role of Commercial Finance Analyst, youll get great exposure to the key drivers of our P&L: monitoring, scrutinising and explaining the drivers of our performance.Youll provide systematic and ad-hoc analysis, preparing annual budgets, monthly forecasts and helping to shape our long-term strategic plan. You will lead our pricing analysis and authorisations, review the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns ona quarterly basis, monitor our sales accruals on the balance sheet, scrutinise the risk and opportunities to our forecasts and play a key role in our new product development activities facilitating our journey to becoming a cross category force for good. Youllmanage our stock reporting, transfer pricing and standard cost processes and will work with our systems analyst to design and report our data across our self-service PowerBI tools. Leading our gross margin action group, youll focus forensically on how wespend our money and where it will make the most impact on our economic, societal, and environmental goals. You will have month end activities including journals prep based upon analytical review, gathering supporting documentation for month end and will have ownership of a range of our internal controls.About youTo be our Commercial Finance Analyst, youll have a solid demonstrable financial background and a love for adding value in the work that you do. Youll have gained experience in a similar role in a fast-paced business where youve liaised face to face withinternal or external stakeholders and built strong relationships with your excellent communication skills.Your finance experience will ideally include numerous examples where your analysis has created value in your previous roles, budgeting, planning, forecasting and management reporting (including variance analysis) and experience in month end close process.Brilliant at Excel and interested in developing this skill set into the suite of PowerBI tools, youll be someone who enjoys getting hands on with data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement including simplification and standardisation. Youllhave experience of using finance ERP systems, ideally IFS or similar. Experience of SQL is an advantage but not essential.A self-starter with a high sense of ownership, youll have a high attention to detail and be conscientious in seeing a project through to completion.
