Commercial Finance Cost AnalystAre you an experienced cost analyst who is passionate about using finance to shape commercial decision making Do you aspire to be part of a purposeful, sustainable and growing ethical brand and want to use your expertise to help Pukka deliver our missionBased in our award-winning Bristol head office, and reporting to our Head of Commercial Finance, this exciting permanent, full-time role comes with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience, alongside a benefits package designed to nurture your wellbeing and personal development.About the opportunityOur Commercial Finance team partner with our Operations and Marketing teams, helping deliver financial insights to shape and transform the way we do things at Pukka. In this role of Commercial Finance Cost Analyst youll business partner across the organisation to monitor, scrutinise and explain our costs to support and drive performance. Leading our gross margin action group, youll focus forensically on how we spend our money and where it will make the most impact on our economic, societal, and environmental goals.Youll provide systematic and ad-hoc cost analysis, preparing annual budgets, monthly forecasts and our long term strategic plan. Youll manage our stock reporting, transfer pricing and standard cost process and work with our systems analyst to design and report all of our cost data across our self-service PowerBI tools. You will have month end activities including journals prep based upon analytical review, gathering supporting documentation for month end and will have ownership of our cost focused internal controls.Pukka is continually evolving as part of the Commercial Finance team youll play a key role new product development teams across a wide range of exciting projects currently being explored.About youTo be our Commercial Finance Cost Analyst, youll have a solid demonstrable financial background and a love for adding value in the work that you do. Youll have gained experience in a similar role in a fast-paced business where youve focused on costs and liaised face to face with internal or external stakeholders and built strong relationships with your excellent communication skills.Your finance experience will ideally include: financial management, management accounting and cost accounting. Budgeting, planning, forecasting and management reporting (including variance analysis) and experience in month end close process.Brilliant at Excel and interested in developing this skill set into the suite of PowerBI tools, youll be someone who enjoys getting hands on with data and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement including simplification and standardisation. Youll have experience of using finance ERP systems, ideally IFS or similar. Experience of SQL is an advantage but not essential.A self-starter with a high sense of ownership, youll have a high attention to detail and be conscientious in seeing a project through to completion. Youll thrive at pace and be skilled at turning challenge and obstacles into decisive and purposeful action.
