Job Description

CNC Miller Full-time, permanent position (not agency work)7.30am - 4.00pm Monday -Thursday & 7.30pm - 12.30pm FridayBristol A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a CNC Miller to join a leading aerospace manufacturing company based in Bristol on a permanent basis.The main purpose of the role will be to set & operate CNC Milling machine tools to produce component parts to drawing and process requirements.The CNC Miller will assist the Manufacturing Group Leaders in the manufacturing of parts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved; and high-quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets.Key Skills

  • 3 & 4 axis milling experience using Heidenhein Controls
  • Experience with setting machines (programming would be advantageous)
  • Worked with exotic materials such as Nickel Alloys and titanium through to steel and softer metals such as aluminum
  • Responsibilities
  • Involvement and attendance at SQDCP meetings in assigned area/s
  • Ensuring Delivery Schedule Adherence of parts to system / route card dates
  • Ensuring performance of part production to planned set and run times and Quality requirements
  • Communicating Not right first time (NRFT) within assigned areas
  • Ensuring Health and Safety processes are adhered to including wearing of relevant PPE
  • Recording and assisting the Manufacturing Group Leader in improving the 5S organisation of the assigned Team areas and personal responsibility of machines being operated
