Acorn Recruitment is looking for a Care and Support Manager for the their charity based client in Thornbury. The salary for this position including an "on call allowance" is £30,600 per annum.Key responsibilities:* To work with the CEO and Registered Manager to ensure that all contractual and regulatory requirements are met, understanding and keeping up to date with the requirements of the legislation and managing the regulated activity in accordance with them. * To ensure that clients needs are met to a high standard, in accordance with their person centred support and care plan, to foster their wellbeing and development and fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion and control. * To work with the CEO and Registered Manager to provide leadership and management and the highest level of support and guidance for the staff team, ensuring that there is a co-ordinated and consistent approach to the service provision, that all duties arecarried out as required and that standards are met at all times.* Line-manage and supervise care and support staff, facilitating a high level of excellence amongst staff teams and performance managing professional conduct and accountability. * Work with senior support staff and clients to administer the system of needs assessment, support planning and risk assessment, and assist clients and staff to prepare and maintain written plans and assessments that meet the required standards.* Co-ordinate, in consultation with the Registered Manager, the preparatory work required for service users reviews, attending reviews where required by the Registered Manager and support senior support staff in following up the outcomes of reviews.* Work in partnership with the Support Co-ordinator to ensure that staffing rotas for support provision and external activities are accurately administered, taking into account funding levels and appropriate levels of support, reflecting a high level of organisationalunderstanding and effective communication skills.* Establish and maintain internal records and databases/spreadsheets as required and manage the participation of staff in the collection and recording of relevant information, assisting with any audit requirements as directed by the Registered Manager.* Share On-Call out of hours responsibilities with the Support Co-ordinator. Experience:* Experience of working within a supported living environment with adults with learning disabilities and autism. * Experience of working at a senior level.Qualifications:* Minimum NVQ Level 3 in social care or equivalent. Skills and knowledge:* Excellent working knowledge of all aspects of supporting adults with learning disabilities both practically and administratively.* Excellent working knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, risk assessment, person centred support and care planning and staff supervision.* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, staff timetabling and associated HR legislation.* Good administrative skills and experience, developing and maintaining record keeping systems and databases.* Good interpersonal skills.* Good meeting technique and skills.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
