Job Description

Business Unit Manager Location: Bristol, AvonSalary: Attractive packages + BonusHours: 37 hours per weekContract: Full Time, PermanentSonovision are a multi award-winning company who provide document engineering, product design and marketing services to global OEMs across a wide variety of sectors including Defence, Aerospace, Energy and general Industry.A key strategy for Sonovision is the expansion of our core engineering portfolio with our existing client base, in particular, the Energy sector.Business Unit Manager - The Role:As part of the expansion of our Engineering and Projects activities, we are recruiting a Business Unit Manager to support us in our growth in the Nuclear Energy sector.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Business development:

  • Maintain excellent relationships with your customers and identify new projects.
  • Promote the Engineering offer of the Sonovision Group
  • Actively participate in all commercial aspects of current and prospective contracts in collaboration with Sonovision Group subsidiaries
  • Contribute to the development and promotion of relevant and innovative technical solutions.
    • Recruitment of consultant Engineers/Technicians:
  • Leadership and responsibility of the end-to-end recruitment cycle - from identifying candidates to job offer
  • Liaise with Human Resources and other stakeholders throughout the recruitment cycle
  • Develop and maintain a recruitment strategy in-line with on-going and future project needs
    • Management of Business Unit:Demonstratable management skills related to the supply of design and engineering services. This includes but not limited to:
  • Project Scheduling / Capacity planning
  • Budget Maintenance and reporting
  • Contract management
  • Supplier management
  • Application of contract specific quality activities
  • Internal and external reporting
    • Business Unit Manager - To be considered for this opportunity:You will need the following skills and background:
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience within an engineering environment, with Nuclear industry experience.
  • Practical experience of working with EPR or EPR2 a distinct advantage.
  • Energy, Environmental or Nuclear Engineering bachelors degree or equivalent qualification / experience
  • Previous or current work history with EDF, FRAMATOME, ORANO and/or nuclear manufacturers/equipment manufacturers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of core topics including mechanical and electrical engineering, installation, commissioning, system engineering, and safety
  • Excellent inter-personal and relationship skills and a strong interest in the world of consulting
