Job Description

Business Systems Engineer - Bristol - to £50k plus benefitsMicrosoft Dynamics 365, D365, PowerApps, Power Platform, Power AutomateWe are please to bring to market a brand-new growth role for a Business Systems Engineer with a lovely client in North Bristol. Offering great career training and progression.The role is a critical component to their systems strategy which underpins the overall organisation evolution. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the core business systems which includes Dynamics 365 for Sales, taking a lead on interfacing with the wider business on functions, usage and development opportunities.You will be responsible for developing specifications for changes, working with vendors and ensuring that supporting materials for users are up to date and available.As part of the role, youll be working across the organisation with a wide array of different functional areas which will range from operational users, superusers, owners and the wider technology support team.The role will work across a number of initiatives which range from simple changes to full functional development across the development, user test & production environments.The role will be responsible for the coordination of change activities by working closely with the Head of Technology services & the Chief Technology Officer.You will be joining a highly motivated team and working in a diverse and challenging sector and there will be an expectation to be very enthusiastic, motivated and flexible in your approach to delivering a high-quality service. The focus of support of people will be paramount to a successful candidate.Key responsibilities for this role are -

  • Responsible for the administration of the business systems.
  • Responsible for the resolution of user queries and system faults which are raised through the technology service desk.
  • Responsible for the documentation of the business systems.
  • Working with our vendors to ensure the systems remain available, functional and secure.
  • Responsible for the identification of development needs against the systems.
  • Responsible for small changes and developments of the systems.
  • Responsible for managing large pieces of development with our vendors.
  • Responsible for ensuring data security & integrity within the business systems.
  • Drive change by proactively proposing solutions to business problems.
  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand problems and needs.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the wider technology team are kept informed & trained on the business systems.
    • Key skills we are looking for -
  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 & the Power Platform suite of tools.
  • Including in system development of D365 entities, forms and workflows.
  • The creation of PowerApps and advanced use of Power Automate.
  • A deep knowledge of Microsofts CDS and Power Platform architecture.
  • Construction/modification/delete of interface & entity components including external interfacing via OData connections.
  • Knowledge or experience of CIPHR and Planday is advantageous but not essential.
  • A strong technical understanding & experience of SaaS environments.
  • Experience of working in a busy support environment.
  • Able to provide remote and desk-side support to users of various abilities.
  • Able to produce clear and concise documentation.
  • Able to lead specifications development and work with vendors to create capabilities.
  • A strong understanding of where technology can support business change and process re-engineering, including automation.
  • Experience of business & technology transformation projects.
  • A critical thinker with a natural problem-solving attitude.
  • It would be ideal if candidates are certified in or working towards the Microsoft Power Apps &/or Dynamics 365 Developer Associate.
